The Fires of Man

cry for the wolf, cry for the dove
cry for your self, all that you love
cry for the water, the earth, and the air
for the fires of man burn without care
the fires of man melt out the steel
the fires of man create the wheel
the fires of man, see how they smoke
burning desire, greed makes the stoke
so cry for awhile, until you can't see
all of the things that make you unfree
see if you can, see through the tears
what gives you wants, pains, and fears
deny it the things it needs to consume
shrink it and send it to its' final tomb
then sing for the wolf, sing for the dove
sing for your self and all that you love
